Contour™ Ab Belt was first marketed in Europe before making its way to the U.S. The company states that the belt is safe and easy to use, and will mimic the contractions that occur while doing sit ups, crunches and similar exercises. The device is engineered for those who desire washboard abs, or six – pack abs as they are often called.
According to the company, the belt delivers a series of electrical impulses that cause the muscles in the abdomen to contract. This contraction process, when done over time will tighten and tone the underlying muscles. The intensity of the contraction is based on the level of electrical impulse and the belt can be adjusted to levels 0 to 100. Results may vary, depending on the intensity and amount of time users spend with the belt. The company suggests using the belt in conjunction with a low fat diet.
