Yeah yeah yeah an ab machine will work for most people but what I want to know is will it work even for Seniors?
harriet g.: really i think that these ab machine electric must work for seniors at least some of them. i mean, i don’t know about all of you but i’ve been prone to insomnia, worse every year, and nothing to do at night but watch the tv. i seen this ab machine infomercial a few times that very tempting, its some kind of thing you sit on but seems less complicateed then some. i’m stil on the fence, as now i’m getting mor e curious about those abs belt things.
Kay: I am a senior, or almost (61) and I have been walking, swimming and take dance class to stay fit for years and it works. I also watch my calorie intake closely and make many minor tweaks thourghout the week. But I would love to try an ab exerciser just to see if they really can make a difference. I am fine with my appearance as it is but it could always be better…Im a striver. Let us know!
AbbyBME: Well the proof’s in the pusdding! Last year my daughter got me a toning belt for Christmas. At first, I nearly died. I reluctantly wore it around the house one afternoon and I have been addicted ever since. Now I put it on when I go to the grocery store or even to the hair salon. It sounds crazy, but it works and makes me feel like I am being an active senior.
RabbitDance: I still have a ton of energy, but what’s happening to my joints I’d like to know? So even though I FEEL like I can do all the exercises I’ve always done, sometimes my back is paralyzed for a couple of days if I do too many crunches so I’m looking for an easier way to still look good, but not have my legs go numb on me, you know? Looking at ab machine reviews, actually liking the looks of a toning belt, seems like I could have a flat stomach and a back that works, all at the same time, who knew it would come to this?
Quentin: I don’t see why not? I am 48 and my ab machine workouts routine keeps my abs tight, I can’t imagine not feeling that way 5 or even 10 years from now.
Josie: I have seen an infomercial for an ab machine but I did not see anyone remotely my age demonstrating it so I need to know some testimonials form real people. I mean, I we wantto look good and be healthy too even if we are over 60.
Stella: I think ab machine workouts, you know the gym kind? are for younger people than I am at 62, even though my daughter’s trainer says he could show me how to use them but I think he just wants another customer, I’m not really paying much attention to him even though he is kinda cute, anyway, I’m looking for something gentler than what Richard has to offer, am reading reviews online about a toning belt I think that might be WAY more realistic for me, I’m mean, let’s get real, this age is not exactly in the spring chicken category anymore, is it?
Rita: Well yes I do think that some of these gadgets will work for seniors, just get a good one that is not to complicaeted and hard on the joints. I cam across this ab machine as seen on tv I’m real interested in, and think it could give me a good abdominal workout withut me barely having to move an extra muscle. Not sure is an a b belt considered a machine but thats what I’m getting for myself for birthday number 65 next month.
LadyB: Those ab machine as seen on tv look like such a joke! And you never see a senior using it. I just watch what i eat to get results and practice yoga or do pilates ab workout 3 times a week.
Blanche: An ab machine infomercial I saw last night was all about some kind of ab contour belt? I never heard of such a thing before, but it sure looks like a great invention, I’m going to find out more or maybe even ask my brother in law, he’s into all the latest in body building, he should know for sure, and then maybe I can decide if I want to order one or not, my b in l is only 50, looks fab, and so what if I’m 10 years older, I bet I can get there, too. If men can do it, so can women!
JoanneA: Ab machine workouts are too dificult for seniors, in my personal opinion. The ab energizer belt is not really a machine – more like an abdominal accessory that works your muscles for you. I think this is a great way for anyone over 65 to get in shape and it is remarkably easy.
Gladdy: An ab machine as seen on tv may not be so hot for seniors, like the rest of you are saying, where are people like us? The gray haired set? Or, as we in CA prefer to say, the Malibu Blondes?? Show me somebody that’s toned and 70, then I’ll belive more of what I see, an abs belt sure seems like it would be great, but for these old muscles? Not so sure.
YvonneWilson: I am tired of feeling my age I want more energy and I hope that using an ab zapper like one as seen on tv will get me more in shape. At least if I look a little better I might go to curves. I kniw you can be fit when older but sure has gotten a lot harder in recent years…
Don_Waterson: You know, us guys could use a little hand in the torso departement too. If the original question came from a man, I just want to second the opinions about the ab toning belt. Don’t waste your time with anything you’ve seen on an ab machine infomercial. Most of them aren’t geared for seniors.
Marlene: I hate what menopause is doing to me so I’ve been reading all kinds of ab machine reviews, and maybe I don’t qualify as a senior yet but some days I sure feel like one, and even worse, look like one, sorry, old folks, but 54 seems too young to be sagging all over the place, do the ab belts I’ve been looking at take care of hiking up loose skin? Or is it just for abdominal muscles, I feel like I’ve been run over by the age truck…want some results I can count on, fast!
William: I own an abdominal toning belt since only 2 weeks but I can already tell you that it works for me. I got it online after reading a few ab machine reviews. Seniors or not if you do something you will aways get results taht’s what i believe.
Layla: I think ab machine workouts, the really strenuous kinds, are not any longer for me. BUT, I don’t want to give up my body, not yet! Maybe not ever? I still want to feel happy in a bathing suit, and I sure as heck can’t if this stomach I’m trying to get keeps on coming the way it wants to, have to STOP it in it’s tracks, this bulge, so am looking at an abdominal toner that’s supposed to be fast and easy, results in a month? That would be so great, my husband’s taking me to Cancun for our anniversary, and I have just about that much time to make him proud of me again…
Desmond Uhlrich: IT all depends on your level of commitment, is what I say. You do some ab machine workouts a few times a week for a couple of months, suere its gonna work, no matter your age or shape or anything, why not? Its about dedication to reaching the goal, whatever you use or do, just be consistent and try to challenege your self. Seniors, men, women, whoever, find a program, make a plan & stick t o it.
Poppy: being old isnt a crime. I am getting back in shape with the help of an ab machine- the name of which I dont remember…oops, senoir moment
KitsyKatIII: I can’t even stay up late enough to watch an ab machine infomercial, they don’t come on until around 11 do they, and by then I’ve been asleep for a couple of hours, that’s why I’m looking on line for reviews for those ab belts I’ve been hearing about, we’ve been talking about them at Curves, I’m thinking it might be the way for me to go, seniors have to be a little more careful about exercising than young folks, that’s why I’m in curves, it’s gentle and I’m not stressed when I go there, but it IS kinda slow, that’s why I’m thinking for fast results I need to kick my exercising up a notch, think this ab toning belt might be the way for me to go.
dot: I do sometimes tune in to an ab machine infomercial on my TV but really, i dont think any of these machines would be helpful or even realistic for me. I have very bad sciatica and can’t really be twisting my body in some of the strange ways these products suggest. I need something fast, easy, and practical for a senior. My physical therapist suggested an ab shocker similar to the one she uses for my therapy, and based on the reviews i have read, this would be a great option. i am glad to see this senior based conmunity online. I will report back to you of my results.
LMK: I made the mistake of purchasing an ab machine as seen on tv – was called the Ab Rocket. It was far too advanced for someone of my age and shape. I am not afraid to tell you all that I now use an abs belt regularly and am pretty satisfied with how my mid section is starting to change.
John N.: HAve been reading various online ab machine reviews and I think its a wise ting to do, before investing in any sort of equipment. A lot of theset things I seen on tv looked pretty decent & then I read the review & find out they fall apart, like that ab circle thin, or they just don’t do much of anthing. A belt is looking best, on of them toning belt things, seems pretty straightforward and no bending, pulling, pusshing, nothing that could cause strain. looks ideal for seniors in fact, am just looking for the best brand.
Jessie: I really need to get exercising, remember Jack LaLanne and his wife, they looked amazing until they dropeed dead which is exactly what I’d like to do, go down with a good fight still left in me, but the las ab machine as seen on tv I watched? Impossible! Someting to do with lying on your stomach and stretching outwith ths roller thing? I don’t think so! Soemthing easy is what I want, like maybe an abdominal toner that will do the work for me, I want results on a senior level, I’m not some gym pussycat, not anymore at least.
Ella: I saw an ab machine infomercial last night and it looked really interesting I am pretty sure it was the ab rocket. What do you mean by it was too “advanced” for you LMK?
425Ardendale: I have not seen a lot of good ab machine reviews on any of my normal senior web sites. You would think they would want to give us information about things that were good for us. They should decote a section to abdominal belt information.
PEARL: NOw I’ve just about fallen flat on my face off a treadmill, theres no way I could be coordinated enough to use on of those ab machine as seen on tv deals, esp not the one you have to kneel on, heavens no, not for me! My ab routine now consists of wearing the flex belt ab belt for 30 minutes while I walk the track every morning. I prefer the track because its smooth, and no cars either, btw. feels safer & more stable then the streets. I’d say this is the best ideas for seniors, and may be pregnant women too, well maybe not the belt bu t the walking.
KentS: I would like to know more about other ab machine workouts before I buy something like an ab energizer. Gotta do something am getting sick if sitting in front of the tv all day. Is there a such thing as a free online ab workout?
Molly: Yeah never thought an ab machine as seen on tv could be bad. the ab roller reviews I have seen were a bit different. Good to hear all the reviews of things you have tried. I want to loose a few lbs and inches. I will take these suggestions to heart and read more reviews.
Jammie: I still do crunches every other day and i am 61 ab machine workouts are for lazy people in my opinion. That;s the best routine for me.
KarenStarGazer: Ab machine workouts are finally too hard for me, I can’t believe it, but my musscles just don’t respons the way they used to,, so maybe the abs belt idea alot of you are talking about is something I should look at it’s not so great being almost and official senior, I can’t believe I have a 40 year old kid, but I still think of my self as young, you know?
