Really want a results oriented ab workout. I need to schedule one that I can do each week any suggestions?

Karin: well i prefer to do my ab workout at home, and my experiences with most ab crunch machines have not been so great. They either were cheap or hard to do, and I never really incorporated them into my routine. I read online about an abs contour belt (they use electronic muscle stim technology) and i knew this was the way to go for me. I can do this workout while i am watching TV, in fact, i really don’t have to “do” anything, i just sit there for 20 minutes, time where i would be there anyway. The results are fabulous. Even better once i lost some lbs and i could really see the definition. good luck whatever you decide.

TIFF: Well if you really want to get results, I think you need to workout more than just once a week. IF you can only get to class or even to the gym once a week, try doing an ab workout at home, liek with a DVD or a balance ball or something. I know that I myself neeed more motivation than a mat to do sit ups on. Any kind of routine you do ab workout exercises or what ever you stick to regluar should get some benefits.

Shondra: I found a really good ab workout dvd online called The Firm. I try to do it at least twice a week and I recently just added a toning belt to the program. Heats my core up and makes me feel the burn!

roy b.: my ab workout routine consists of doing 150 crunches every day followed by a long run or bike ride. I Think for best results you wanna devote a good 2 hours of your day, about 5 days a week, to your workouts. Maybe not the easy but it works.ANd for added definition, get an ab toning belt to use, you see results super fast then.

Peoria: I’m with TIFF, how in the world do you thnk ou’re going to get any kinds of results only working out once a week/ It’s just never gonna happen, is youre schedule that tight that you can’t make it more often? Or here’s another idea, why not try one of those ab bels at home, then you don’t have to have any kind of a routine, just use it once a day, I hear thery really good at a fast and easy toning job, gonna get one myslef in the next week or two to insure my ab workout exercises.

LEE, Atlanta: Try using the ab workout machines, if you go to a gym. MAybe not easy to schedule a session, depends on how busy the place is when you go. But if you use ‘em correctly and gradually increase weight you see results i n no time on your ab workout program.

Lena: I like to use an ab workout dvd because it gives me direction and motivation without having to embarras myself at the gym. I would bne willing to try an ab belt but I def need some structure for a workout that narrows and tones my waiste and abs. thanks!

HappyAtLast: My stomach is fiannly going away, and it’s thatnk to the ab energizer belt that I got on line, I use it for 30 minutes a day, no fuss no muss no bother, and it’s diong a number on my abs, use it when I watch tv , whatever, I’m telling you, a difference in a week for me, reviews for this one I’m using, the Flex belt, hit it on the head.

Sean: Well in my opinion you need a daily ab workout routine and not a weekly one if you want to see results. I suggest you starting to do 4-5 series of crunches at home everyday or at least every other day.

Ev: what is an ab workout at home that I will want to do every day?

Nancy: An ab workout dvd that’s really good is Jillian Michael’s, but man, be prepared to work! I’m thinking of doing it every other day, becasue thinking you only have to workout once a week is just plain silly, and then using an ab belt on the off days, I’m sure to get some good results, fast, with that kind of a program.

Mel: Well have you tried using an ab workout machines at the gym? Those work for me. Try that routine 3 times a week.

Mila: Well I have been looking for ages for the best ab workout for women and I think that going to a Pilates class, even once a week, can make a difference. Find a good class, dish out the money and then do what you can on the other days – crunches, a dvd, whatever, just stick to a routine. Or get an abdominal toning belt ,those have really good reviews too. You want results, be CONSISTENT! Has any one abdominal curl machine before.

LazyDays: I’d sure like to only wrok out once a wekk, but it’s like not workingout at all, a program I really like is the ab belt, I can do it easy, don’t even have to think about it, it’s working good for me on my own schedule…think maybe that’s what you should try.

Dionne: Good weekly ab workout program takes about 30 minutes but works. Jump rope for 15 min, sit ups for 10, push ups for 10 all wearing abn abs belt to turn it up a notch. Or try an ab workout dvd??

Sandie: Ab work out exercises? There’s about amillion of them, but you sure have to do them almost every day, no way around it, then use an abs contour belt for backup, you’ll see results fast, look online, you’ll find a bunch of them.

Julie: Well I am so happy to see people mention a n a b belt because well, I have HAD IT with my ab workout videos. Yoga for abs, pilates for abs, 8 minute abs or whatever, none of them do it for me. I need to either attend a class to be pushed or use this gadget, and am thinking that sounds most tempting for a busy women like me!

Cynthia: I need an ab work out plan, too, but I sure want it for more than once a week, I was going to my trainer a couple of times a week and thought that wuld be enough, but no way, hardly any difference at all and when I told people what I was doing they all laughed, I thought I was seriously helping myself! HA! So now I need to replace this routine, want to know about Curves, and want to know about the ab belt, I figure if I do both then I can get some kind of toning going on everyday, and people will be impressed with what I’m doing, especially if it works fast!

Nolan: What you need to have, if you really want results, is to set forth an ab workout plan and just stick to it. ONce it becomes a part of your schedule, it will be easy to folow, like a habit, and you’ll be stoked that your seeing results. Just decide where you want to work, and yeah, like others say, get a toning belt and try using that, if you really ar eshort on time.

Joelle: well i have to do my ab workout at home bcs i cannot stand gyms they are full of other ppls germs! and i also want a fast and easy routine that isn’t a hassle. SO i did my research and i think i am going to go with an abs contour belt. they make a lot of sen se and you can do it each week, each day if you want!

SallyBeans: In my opinion ab workout for women are different than the one for men. I personally don;t care about the 6 pack so my routine consist on running 2 miles 3 times a week and to do crunches just after. My stomach is pretty tight:) You can look for other kind of ab exercises online if you don’t like crunches.

Katrina: I want to do an ab workout at home that will have me seeing results in less than a month. I was doing a denise austen workout and did not lose a pound. am frustrated. My stomach used to be my best feature and now it looks like a band of lard…can anyone recommend an ab belt workouts? Or maybe even a belly burner as seen on tv they like?

Arianna: I’m kinda addicted to the Billy Blanks ab workout videos, I get a great work out with all that Tae Bo stuff, but I do it like every other day, that’s what you really have to do to get results; now I’m wearing an abdominal toner while I’m working out with Billy, and in one week, the combination of the two? REALLY fast tightening going on, my stomach’s looking better than it has in years….but believe me, you have to keep consistent with the exercises, otherwise, it’s just not going to work for you.

Ariadne: So, Joelle, do I understand this right? I only have to use the ab belt maybe once a week as your ab workout plan? I don’t see how that could do much good, I think an ab workout for women, has to be done every day if possible, so what I’m going to do is add the Ab Belt on to wehn I’m doing crunches, or whill it get in the way? Just really want to get Abs fast for women, even my mom. :)

christopher G.: there are a lot of great ab workout exercises you can do that wont take a lot of time. i think all you really need is about 10-15 minutes a day, its not that tough to schedule it in, if you make it a priority. might help to have pictures, i would just google it and see what you get, but make sure you do a combo for upper & lower abs and your obliques too.

Joelle: Hi Ariadne, no no, sorry, I was just replying to the original question where they said they needed to schedule an ab workout plan they could do each week. I think i was unclear…i think its best to use an ab belt daily (and super easy) altho some ppl take rest days in between to get their muscles prepared for the next training intensity. Not sure about using the ab belt while also doing crunches, bcs those muscles are already being engaged by the ab belt . seems redundant. Anyway, good luck to everyone!

Ulma: There’s lots of ab workout machines you can schedule for once a week I guess, check at your gym, but it won’t do you much good, I can tell you that, you’re just kidding yourself if you think once a week is gonna help get you a flat tummy, do like I do and use an ab toning belt everyday, you’ll get some fast results, and you wont’ even have to leave the house, a big plus in my book.

Verity: a result oriented workout could be something so simple as sit ups and stretches. I do mine every morning during the today show. it is a schedule that is pleasant and easy to keep. my ab workout exercises many muscles, tones and gives my core a push! This is my secret to a true ab workout program.

Andria: An ab workout routine for once a week? If only! The only thing that’s gonna work for you is some committment to doing a lot of sweating and cursing, OR, you could try one of thos e ab belts I’ve been reading reviews about, think that may be th e solution for a lot of us, exercise 30 mins a day when ever we feel like it, choose our own routines, even if ab workout videos are your thing – you have to decide which one to order online, then I’m on omy way to a better tummy without even having to think about it, as many days a week as I want. Still dreaming of a ab workout for women that works in hours. :)

Darcy: IT took me years to find a n ab workout program that I could stick to so I know how you feel! WE are all so busy & need something efficient, who wants to waste time doing the lastest fad if it doesn’te ven get results? Anyway I need to get it all out of the way first thing in the a.m. so I get up & do crunches, for like 5 minutes, and pushups for a few minutes. Then i go for a run, and then after I shower I put on my ab toning belt while I’m doing my hair & makeup. Feels great, every day I have energy & its really a pretty easy routine. I’m seeing the pay off of the result too with my ab workout plan.

marta: i think in most cases, getting optimal results from an ab workout routine means lots of hard work. but for those of us who might have physical limitations (age, bad backs. etc.) this type of routine is not realistic. Maybe that’s why your question revolves around doing an ab routine once a week only? I felt that way too, but with these ab belts, doing it every day is nothing! I have easily incorporated an ab workout machines into my schedule and it is super easy. hope this helps. Not a fan of ab workout videos per se.
