Really need to be doing more ab exercises but have not found the program that will work yet. Are ab belts something to consider?

Lorelei: workouts are great…when I actually do them,I just never seem to have time in m day for everything and workouts are often the first thing to get eliminated. its hard being a working mom, as many of you know Im sure. So I am considering an ab belt, so i can multitask! I will always go on walks and sometime elliptical buit this would be such a help to my hectic life and I would love to have the abs of a younger woman! :)

MCDV: Yeah, ab exercises workouts can be daunting but I’m sure you can find a routine that works for you. Have just started looking at some ab belt reviews online myself – will come back when I learn more.

joyce eisenhuth: it is tough to find a program that is feasible to stick to for more than a few weeks, no doubt about it. i have read good ab belt reviews and havent tried one yet but the best ab exercises for women in my opinion, are with yoga and Pilates, because they strenghten AND lengthen the muscles of your core. I mean ab exercises no equipment could work for some.

Oona: Abs exercises workouts for everybody, that’s the idea right? Old, young, gotta be out there moving it around and I for one am tired of the pressure, guess that’s why I’m looking at the ab toning belts, I’m being a rebel, like in those old Saab ads, do your own thing? Well, that’s what im trhing to do, enough of this crazy gym stuff, I want the flat belly, sure, but I’m gonna make it happen the way I want it to, reviews for the abs belt is looking good, as will I, once I buy it. Just gotta know that ab exercises workouts are important.

Jenna: I think ab exercises for women can be a lot to keep up with bcs I, for one, am always having to do workouts on my butt and thighs which are top priority in my schedule. My abs never were a problem until i hit 40, oh joy, and I can only imagine they will get worse the closer i get to being a senior citizen! anyway, so now i have this additional workout i am suppose to work into my schedule and I am sorry but I don’t think it is going to happen. I can’t say for sure about ab belts because i haven’t tried one yet, but after reading the reviews online, I am really optimistic. they sound great.

JohnRiversImposter: Absolutely. At first I was a little skeptical that something so simple and easy would help my soft middle, but with the ab toning belt i got, you can even do ab exercises at your desk. Not sure if you work in an office, but I spend most of my time in one, and have to get in some form of excercise whenever possible.

Geena: You can do ab exercises at your desk, remember those old isometrics? Clench your stomach, your butt, whatever and you’ll get toned? Uh huh. And people will look at you weird to, cause even though you try not to you can’t help but kinda grit your teeth while you’e doing them, and it looks like you have to pee or something, so I’m using an ab energizer on my lunch break and nobody even knows I have it on, I can feel it pinging my muscles as I’m just sitting thre eating a tuna sandwich I’m liking this alot I bet you would to.

ROB, DELAWARE: Anythingg you stick to you is gonna make a difference.I for one thing an abs belt is something tosurely consider so long as you read the reviews and see what the best quality one you can find. Now i have a question for Joyce, that Pilates is exclusively for women and are not the best abs workout for men too? Why would that be exactly?

Ashley: I know me too! I should do more for my abs but lately all I want to do is eat cheesecurls and watch movies! hibernation time! wondering if I can find out some ab exercises at your desk so that even thought I am working :) I am burning a few calories rather than just sitting like a lump. Its hard but I keep trying.

JanetNater: Ab exercises with medicine ball assistance is a sure fire way to get flat abs, but OMG! It’s really exhausting and I think exercise should be fun, not like you’re working out to compete for a calendar spot, I mean I want something between Curves and a marathon, right? Been looking at the ab toning belts on line, and I think we should all try them and then come back with our results, seems like such an easy way for people who work all the time to get some good exercise, not have to strain so much to look good, my kinda deal!

Kenneth: I think ab exercises with weights can be part of a pretty good routine for men, but don’t know too much about abs belts or electronic ab machine things.

Tom: I always thought ab exercises for men consisted of old fashioned situps or crunches, period. No whining or trying to find an easy way. Well after i spent a month in traction after a lower lumbar injury i had to rethink all of that. i had to find a routine that was reasonable and not to hard on me. THe ab belt i bought was meant just for toning, and i have to say i really like what its doing. i works out some muscles that my situps never did, like the obliques. i would say for guys, this is a real time saver that gives results.

May: I tried what seems like all of the ab exercises for women except for the abdominal belt, I just ordered one that had great reviews online and will def post again to let you know how it works for me. It sure sound very inovative the way it works on the abdominal muscles.

Gill V.: Definitely think ab belts should be considered, have you seent hat technology? With a new fad program popping up every other week its hard to find ab exercises that really work you know? but everythign i read online about these toning belts, i mean, they’ve been tested & shown to contract ALL your abdominal muscles, works for men, women, seniors, everyone. I havent purchased yet, still reading reviews and thinkits most definitely a good option.

EagleRocker: Have a Flex Belt (electonic muscle stimulator) and it works my core extra good. Also do ab exercises with medicine ball – really hard but good results. Wear the belt when working and always turns it up a few notches. Good luck finding a program that works for you. It will happen, just don’t give up.

Genevieve: you can do ab exercises with medicine ball? I thought those were for men? But I am obviously out of shape and need to do something. I think using an ab belt is a good part of a workout the way fiber is a good part of a diet. Thanks for your impout.

WiseOldGirl: Are there any ab exercises that really work?? i hate to sound cyincal but no matter what nothing seems to work for my LOWER Abs. I can fix the upper abs with crunches, ok, but the lower ab “roll” i have will NOT go away. I think this is a problem for women, especially. I work hard at this and I am getting a little sick of it. IF there was an easy way to get the job done, i would be right there. I am going to search online for ab belts and if it sounds good to me I am gonna try one. WIll get back to you!

meredith conway: it’s not really a program, not like 8 minute abs or whatever kinds of crazy things you see on tv or whereever but am doing ab exercises with ball aid, the swiss ball, tottally felt awkward at first and wanted to give up, its not easy and probably harder than using an abdominal belt but you DO get resutls if you stick to a regular schedule. hope that helps.

CfromChicago: You can actually do some really good ab exercises no equipment needed. Simple crunches from floor work, just get someone to show u how to do them properly. An a b belt will add some increased stimulation to anything you do, but only part of a solid routine.

EarlyDays: Ab exercises no equipment needed! That should be on a big billborad somewhere becasue I really think it’s true, all you need is your self and an exercise pad, do those crunches, leg lifts, you’ll get there! Not sure about all the things I’ve heard on late night t.v. about the ab belt idea, maybe sound, maybe not, I dunno, I guess maybe I’m into determing my own results by counting how many reps I do of each thing, but hey, I could be wrong, and this could be the best invention anybody ever came up with….

Matt: Yeah man, ab belts are awesome. I do some heavy lifting on regular basis and use the ab shocker on days off. Easy. Starting to now think about my 8 pack ab workout. :)

LEona: Maybe I’m just super self-conscious but I hate doing any type of ab workouts at the gym, I feellike people are watching & judging, and once I was right, some creepy guy tried to tell me I was using the machine wrong and if he worked there that woud be fine but he didn’t. SO, I am a big fan of doing ab exercises at home, whether its doing crunches, or using one of those ab circle things or an abs belt, whatever. I’m looking for something online myself right now.

Mysterylover: Yes. If you do ab exercises at home, adding a abdominal belt will definitely improve your overall program. Mine includes 20 minutes of intense crunches with a bender ball, side sit ups and then 3 sets of 1 minute planks. All to music, all wearing my belt. Fun and fast.

Bonnie: Ab exercises at home are the only way to go for me, I’ve got all these little kids, 3 under 3, don’t even ask me about it, and I hardly even have time for a shower, never mind a trip to the gym, so I’ve been using this ab energizer I got on line, I only have to wear it for about 30 minutes and it’s definitly helping get rid of my pregnancy belly, talk about a challenge, but this Flex Belt I tried seems to be up to it, now if I could just find a way to take a nap life would be good again.

Missy: ab belts are something to consider! Go for it if you find the right one for you! Ab exercises for women are good, but we have a lot to contend with and need all the help we can get! Take it! And for me anyway, eating a little less wouldnt hurt either! But I love brownieS!!

Tad: YEah just wanted to say that, I’ve done ab exercises no equipment and also with medicine balls or weights or resistance bands, and I mean, it DOES give you more resistance. Sure you can get a workoutwith your own body movements but too get that extra push? Lots of things can help. And I mean, I ve had an abs contour belt for a week and already seeing some minor results. Just saying ab exercises with weights ain’t bad.

KayMcLaren: How do I get a partner to do ab exercises with ball throws for extra mobility, and a little fun besides? All my friends think I’m way compulsive about exercising, but they’re fat, not me, hahahaha; none of them want to go that extra mile to keep fit, one of them even bought one of those ab belt things and she says her stomach is getting tightened up almost as god as mine, and I made her show me it, and DAMN if it isn’t, she says it’s way easy, not the crazy kind of routine I do, crunches etc., I dunno, if she ends up looking better than me it’s gonna make me mad!

PonyGirl: Ab exercises that really work are ones that you actually do! Simple as that! I’m about tired of all the routines I’ve tried; looking at an ab shocker that may carry me over until I decide if I have to keep going with my trainer, he’s really expensive and I’m not liking his attitude much these days, he keeps saying I should work harder and I’m about worked OUT, thank you very much, so I’ll let you know if this ab belt is the way to go, it should be here tomorrow if my online order is right, easy and fast might be my watchwords from now on.

Aaron: Ab exercises with ball just don’t do it for me, sorry. Maybe it works better for women. But you should consider an ab belt if you feel like you’re not getting enough out of the programs you’ve tried so far. Just keep switching it up. Muscle confusion is really good – have you tried the Insanity Work Out DVDs? They’re really good and not boring.

Cerie: Well i like to do ab exercises at home, and I like the exercises to be fast, easy and compatible with my schedule. I am a little concerned about whether an ab shocker will give me the same results as situps, but from what i am reading here and in the reviews, they do seem pretty effective. i think i am going to go for it! I mean ab exercises workouts seem important to get the look.

PJ: If you go and do any sort of ab exercises with medicine ball you gotta be careful, just want to point out. YOu do ‘em wrong you could hurt yourself. Seems liek what I’ve seen on those ab toning belts, they work good for recovery and so if you thinking about safety at all, seems like a best bet. CAn’t see how you could possilbely use it wrong or injure yourself with a belt. Combine it with a cardio routine and diet plan, yo be all set. Has anyone compare Cardio Twister?

Siri: thanks for talking about good, real ab exercises for women. I am frustrated by my post baby body and I need something that works. def considering a high quality ab belt. and its good to talk to real adults. thanks ladies!

SeaGirl: There are a few belts for ab exercises that really work, just check out the reviews online.

miranda P.: sorry i am new to all this and just wondering how do you actually DO ab exercises with weights? i don’t thinki have the balance for that, women who are klutzy like me need an ab contour belt or somoething of that sort, just seems a lot more easy to use.

Abbie: My husband is doing some ab exercises for men that I could never even think about, including hanging from this bar he’s got in the bedroom doorway and then he pulls himself up? NO WAY am I even trying this, I’m sitting on our bed watching him while I have on my ab belt and tell him he’s nuts every now and then, by way of encouragement??? : ) and he looks like he’d like to shoot me but he can’t becasue you know, he’s upsdie down, like a bat, and my tummmy’s getting nice and firm, EASY while he’s looking like Houdini on a bad day…

NanaBanana: Not sure about belts but there are quite a few ab exercises with ball you can do that will give you awesome results. That’s my routine for abs and then of course jogging/cycling for cadio. With awareness ab exercises workouts can be fun.

Chris: Those bars can be used for abs exercises workouts Abbie? Always thought they were just for pull ups, and upper body strenght. Anyway, I’m no contortionist and am certainly more interested in the idea of doing ab exercises at your desk as some people mentioned. I admit to being a bit skeptical on the ide aof an a b belt until I read the reviews nad these comments here. NO w am thinking, this type of thing needs to be at the top of my list of “must have” products.

Kendra: I don’t think ab exercises for women have to be hard, it’s just that all the repetition you have to do for each one gets a little boring, I’d like to not think about if for a while to tell you the truth that’s why i’m reading lost of reviews of ab belts online, would be so nice to have something else do the work for a change, don’t know if it would really give me the results I want, but about now I’m ready to give it a try…

FPeters: Well the ab exercises for men that really work are usually not that easy. Someone mentioned plank above. Those burn, but totally get your muscles shaking. The ab belts are part of a good program, but I agree, not really going to give you optimum results without some other work maybe ab exercises with weights?
