Is there an abdominal machine that has gotten good reviews, that is easy and can be done by anyone including seniors?
Leo: Some of the ab machines I;’ve seen look quite complicated, or seem to atleast requuire a certain amount of coordination. If I were you I would just do an internet search for abdominal machine reviews or tummy belt reviews and see what you find. And for seniors, I would lean toward s looking at toning belts vs something that requires getting down on the floor, like a daily ab workout for men or women.
Martha: An abdominal machine workout is not all that easy, not if you want to have it work really well, but I’m tired of the stress of it all, I’m sick of looking at myself in the mirror like some kind of crazy person, all critical and upset, this muscle’s not quite right, that one could use a little more tension, it’s just NUTS, that’s why I’m looking at the reviews for ab belts online, I want to back off a little, make my life easy for awhile, best abs belt reviews I’ve seen so far have been for one called Flex Belt, sit down while I’m using it, maybe a little t.v., and try not to be so compulsive, it’s not healthy!
RitaM: A bad abdominal machine workout for seniors is this thing called an Ab Rocket. My daughter talked me into trying hers and it was just too hard. I’m also looking for something that is better for seniors – perhaps a litlle more easy on the old joints? Still want to trim down, but without so much stress. Have u looked at some of those ab toning belts or the abdominal machine as seen on tv?
Pauline: I would love to know about an ab machine that is good for seniors That is why I am here but I wish I had an answerts…my mom has been depressed since turning 60 and I know she wants to lose weight but its hard for her. would love to read some more abdominal machine reviews so I can get her something safe and effective good luck to all you older ladies! you rock if you want to get healthy and fit!
Regina: Abdominal machine t.v. ads are sometimes kind of hard to believe especially for someone like me who’s over 50, I’ll never look like those kids again, ever! I’m reading ab belt reviews, seems like a good way to go for me, haven’t decided which one yet, but they all claim to be fast and easy, that’s got some definite appeal to my almost old bones!
Gayle: An abdominal machine crunch is still a crunch, if u ask me, and the same goes for a situp. A lot of these machines basically trick you into doing the equivalent of a crunch or a situp, but you sort of fool yourself into thinking otherwise bcs you are using a machine to do it. Well, hooey to that. I have a horrible lower lumbar problem in my back, and i want something that really is EASY on my body (i am also a senior). As far as the reviews go, well, i don’t like the ones on amazon, but i have found some good ones after searching online. And the most promising type of thing for someone in my situation is an abs contour belt. seems to me with these you dont even have to move!
kelsey, pennsylvania: some of the abdominal machine crunch your stomach real good, bettter than others and ithink that is probly most effective. but they are also very expensiveand i don’t knowi if they are good for seniors. sorry if this is not helpful but i am first going to read ab belt reviews and if nothing looks good i will just use the gym machines. abdominal machine exercises so far the ones I have seen am not so sure about, esp abdominal machine tv some of those on there look weird to me.
Tonia: An abdominal machine as seen on t.v. could be just about anything, they have all these professional jocks doing their thing, I want to find something that’s easy, too, I know right where you’re coming from, that’s why I’m looking at this ab energizer I found online, seems to be good for men and women, old and young, I bet the whole family could use it, even my mom though she’s kinda getting up there, she’s still vain, you know? Funny old lady.
Liza: I am a senior too and the best abdominal machine reviews I read online was about an abdominal toning belt. I have yet to try one. Really need a abdominal machine gym
in my home to encourge me along.
Margaret: since becoming older I have felt the need to slow down just a little. I still am committed to health and fitness but I would love to know if there is an abdominal machine that I could use while writing at my desk…abdominal machine tv while watching would be a hit too in my book.
JudyR: Just threw away this ab gizmo that I ordered – an abdominal machine as seen on tv-was dissapointed because it was not as easy to use as they advertised on tv. Said it was safe for all ages, but I guess they didn’t mean anyone over a certain age. Have been looking at a few of those electronic muscle stimulators or ab toning belts as they call them. Not sure if I should spend the money again, though.
GervaiseLandry: When I go to the gym, that is when I can afford it, I do as many abdominal machine exercises as I can because I know I might not be back for a week or so but this is of course not the way to get a good workout if you really want toned abs, so I’m looking for something affordable and easy, the ab belts I’m reading about on line seem to fit that bill, I sure would like to save money in the long run, think buying one of these ab contour belts would be a way to work this into an everyday routine, one that I can do more than once a week, for sure!
Clifford: ITs true if you compare a home ab machine to the abdominal machine gym s usually have, they are a lot more expensive and probably, better quality. IF you can afforda gym membership, makes most sense to use it there for a good abs routine. Not really that easy to use though, I say, its probably easier to go with the ab toning belt idea. HAve seen good reviews on some, tone ab belt but cant think of brands off hte top of my head, just google ‘em.
Stella: yes, judy, I have also been taken in by some of these abdominal machine tv commercials..in my case it was something called the Torso Track, but really they should call it the midevil (sp?)torture device. anyway, I am a busy woman who works hard to keep those extra 10 lbs off, i want something EASY for my ab routine. been reading the reviews online and so far the best one as far as i can tell is the flex belt. But that is just my observation you all should do some research independently.l
PAT: USed to think the best way to go was with abdominal machine exercises versus sit ups or anything else, like them ‘core’ exercises people talkinga bout lately. BUt I had read good reviews on Flex belt and ordered it, like it a bunch so far. Good for seniors, athletes, women after pregnancy, just about anyone seems to benefit from this type of a b belt. Did I menoton easy to use tooo?
Ida: I want an abdominal machine gym quality, but I can’t afford it! And plus, I’m getting to the age where I can’t see myself on an elliptical or a stepper anymore, what if I fell off???? I’m looking more at reviews on line for seniors, and I have to say the ab belts I’m looking at look good, seem safe and easy to use, no way I can fall out of my barcalounger! Hate to have it happening to me, but I’m about ready for this kind of exercise, and if it doesn’t work the way I want? Well, so what, i can’t take it with me, can I? Money’s to spend, sweeties, keep that in mind.
Forrest: Well I do indeed think there is a good piece of equipment for seniors. The electronic ab belts are easy to use, been very favorably reviewed and you can do as much or as little as you want while wearing one. I never knew what an abdominal machine crunch meant until I got one of these little numbers.
DianaR: senior get ther short end of the stick when it comes to exercisers and I am glad to see people talking. We’re not dead and we deserve to be healthy and trim! I am interested in an abdominal machine workout because I want results! I want something that has gotten good reviews of course but I will be the judge too!
Linnette: BEST ABDOMINAL MACHINE WORKOUT IS THE KIND THAT DOESNT TEAR UP YOUR BACK, FITS INTO YOUR SCHEDULE, AND GIVES RESULTS. I HAVE READ LOTS OF REVIEWS, AND THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS, IS EASY, AND IS GOOD FOR MEN, WOMEN AND SENIORS IS AN AB BELT.
LauraLinley: Think you’re right about those abdominal machine crunch routines, I mean a crunch is a crunch, right? And it kind of p(*&&^es me off that gyms charge all that money when I could just as well be doing the same kind of thing with somebody holding my feet at home…kinda burned out on the routine, I guess, that’s why I’m looking for something easy, too, and have just about settled on a Flex Belt, reviews are good, work it into my budget next week.
norman: also think its smart to be reading online reviews, seen some pretty shoddy abdominal machine as seen on tv products, as they call ‘em. always pique my interest, and raise my skepticism atht e same time. great community here, will look into ab belt reviews now, are thye pretty affordable?
pam: My mom is 58 and she kicks my ass at any sport! She is a yoga instructor but I am really not into yoga and really want some tight abs so i read a bunch of reviews online on abdominal machine crunch and I ended up getting a bench that has something where i can lock my legs. It’s not easy but it’s better than doing crunches on the floor.
netgrandpa: Someone on here say something about 60 being old? I’m older and still surfing online and looking at all kinds of great things. I have delved heavily into abdominal machine reviews as of late, and am happy to report that the best things for us older folks are good diets, lots of walking and strapping on an ab contour belt. Does all the work that I can no longer do myself.
JenniferSnopes: Abdominal machine reviews are obviously to sell you something, so you have to be careful how you read, really look for the facts. That’s what I’m doing with the ab toning belts I’m studying, trying to find the best one because I’m tired of the hard core exercises I’m doing, even Pilates seem like too much trouble, at this point I’m in it for the look, not so much the well being, been that route, now I just want something easy and fast, that I can order online, and then plan when I’m going to exercise at home everyday. That’s about all I want to do until Spring.
JAnice K. Hobbs: Last night I was watching late night tv and some ad came on and I was thinkng maybe this ab circle thing was goodbut i have read mixed reviews. i am now not surea bout the abdominal machine tv shows or ads or what have you, try to sell us. seems liek they fall apart right quick. Now these ab belt things, seem like my speed, I don’t have too busy a schedule these days but want something that get me fast results without too much work. ARe they good quality?
james: seems to me that a lot of those abdominal machine gym rats are pretty young & able to bear a lot of weight. not this guy. i had a physical labor job for 34 yrs and my back is done with straining, lifting, and work in general, thank you very much. i retired in August and am worried about getting soft and doughy from inactivity. but these routines they do at gyms are not for me. looking online and it seems to me the reviews are indicating that i take the easy road with an abs contour belt. sounds good to me.
Anna: I need to lose weight before my sons wedding. I am reading interesting reviews about as seen on tv but what I need is an abdominal machine workout I can do every day even if its on an abdominal machine exercises my tummy.
Donna k: I don;t know that any abdominal machine workout is gonna be easy, is that ab toning belt considered a machine? My daughter just had a baby and is complaining about her belly after being pregnant, and i looked a t myself and thought, gee, mines not in much better shape! shes’ trying an ab toning belt nad i think maybe i oughtta too. Have not seen many abdominal machine as seen on tv types out there.
