Is there a way to get a good abs work out at home?

MandyMay: TRied lots of ways to get a good abs work out at home, kinda liked the abs workout with ball I was doing, but it was hard to keep my balance, using a ab belt now, seems to be giving me good results without all the hard work, gonna keep at this.

RobertaTrumbull: My very favorite abs workout video is a Pilates one, used it for years! but have to say even though its a way to get a great workout at home, it’s kinda boring, the reps, so now I’ve also got an ab energizer belt that’s giving me some fast results, Abs workouts for men can be boring but i think this is a good addition to any home work out routine.

GSteever: I like to do abs work out with ball and balance trainer. Use both 3x a week and just added a toning belt to my routine. Works good! Am thinking of and additional abs work out machine too for obliques. ANything really that promotes abs work out for men. :)

Renee: Of COURSE you can get a good abs work out at home just have to have the self-discipline to keep doing it! I mean the simplest way is to just do situps or crunches but it could be beneficial to try using a PIlates dvd for an abs work out video or if you have a bit more money try an ab energizer, those are cool and seem to get fast results.

CarolineMcAfee: My new abs workout schedule includes a run before work, and then 30 minutes with an ab toning belt while I do the dinner dishes, great that I can do it all at home, and working out great so far. Stomach’s down, waist an inch thinner, can’t argue with insane ab workout results…

Constance: Good abs work out schedule at home for me inlcudes an ab energizer that I got online – use 2-3 times a week when I do the crunchless abs video workouts. Hope that helps for your abs work out for women. :)

Fiona: An abs workout for men, or a abs work out routine – that’s what I’m looking for, one that my husband can do at home, he’s too embarrassed to go to the gym, says his stomach looks too gross, which I kind of agree with, went on line and found him an abs contour belt, hope this works for him so he can get out of the house again!

Irma: Yes, if anything I prefer my abs work out at home than at the gym. I don’t have to worry about people judging me! LOL of course its probably in my head, people don’t usually give a S**t. Maybe will try an abs work out video. Right now I just lay on the floor (on a mat) and do 4 series of situps or crunches every other day not really into abs work out equipment. Maybe will try an abs work out machine for my abs work out schedule.

Heidi: I use an ab workout machine at the gym I go to, but I really don’t think it’s doing all that much for me, and it’s SUCH a hassle to go, now I’m trying out an abs contour belt, liking what I see so far, my schedule is my own because I can use it at home whenever I feel like it…better way to get an at home work out than most other things I’ve tried.

MastersJoel: Yeah, I would also like to know if there’s a good home abs work out for men. Would like to find something that is relatively easy as I’m 58 and have not worked out for a long time. Sort of interested in the abs belts, but still not sure. Could try one of those abs work out with ball?

Beatriz: Lots of abs workout equipment you can use at home, but the one I’m likin a lot is this flex belt i’ve been using for the last month….great at home workout, easy and I can do it whenever, don’t even have to plan it, good solution for me, might be for you, too…read some reviews first, though.

Keira: I like to use the the ab circle pro. It’s a little challenging to make time for exercise when u are home so it’s important to set an abs work out routine to make sure u do something. I use my machine every other day before work and also have a treadmill in the garage that i used everyday.

Lara: I’ve been going to Curves, easy abs workout for women, but I talk more than I exercise, am about to give it up, thinking an at home DVD, something like Jillian Michaels? might be better, but I’m kinda tempted by the abs belt idea, too, will let you know, sure is a big diff between Jillian and an ab energizer!

Ginny: MY current abs work out routine includes uses the ab machines at the gym 2-3 times per week and wearing my abs belt at home 4-5 days a week, plus cardio for burnin the fat of course. IF you d o it all at home, you could probly just wear the belt ot else do some exercises too, to sorta mix it up on your abs work out plan.

EricaJohanssen: BEst abs workout plan for me is a mat and about 100 crunches, takes a little time, but it sure works, i’ve been using that bar you stick in a doorway to hold my feet, makes it really thorough…if you do it everyday like I do, you’re for sure going to get results at home.

HArold: What you need to do, if you gonna do it all at home, is sit down and create an abs work out plan, I’m serious. Do some research on latest exercises and set a time to do them at least every other day. YOu get results if you make the time & effort. This is my idea for abs work out for men.

Yetta: I think any abs workout routine, home, gym, whatever, has to include a good diet, low carb, otherwise you’re just whistling in the wind about a 6 pack, who’s gonna be able to see it? So watch the diet, and do some Pilates or Yoga with a DVD, follow it up with 30 mins of ab toning belt time, you’ll be star quality in no time with this sorta abs work out schedule!

PatriciaF: I like to use a different abs work out video a few times a week as part of my overall at home workout plan. My favorites are Denise Austin’s Belly Busters and 10 Minute Abs, this is not one with an abs work out with ball – which I do while wearing an ab toning belt. Found it all online and it works for me. Have not tried an abs work out machine.

Molly: what;s better crunches or sit-ups? And how many should i be doing? Trying to figure out a good abs work out plan for home too so thanks you for actually posting your question. Really just want an abs work out for women not a bunch of abs work out equipment.

Jett: No question, an abs workout at home can be just as good as you can get at a gym, I work with a slant board and resistance pulleys, have it out in the garage ’cause it’s kinda big, but I’m telling you, it gives you one heck of a workout and you can choose any kind of routine you want, target abs, wherever you need the most work, and then use a toning belt 3 or 4 times a week besides? Works great!

patricia: I’ve got this great abs workout with ball assistance DVD I use at home, for a basic abs work out routine – every other day at least, my stomach is finally starting to look like it did prepregnancy, for sure you can do this without having to find a babysitter and all that if you want to go to a gym or pilates class, so uncomplicated for me right now, which is exactly what I need an abs work out for women as well as abs work out equipment. Anyone?

LLaughlin: I got an Ab Board and hyper extension abs work out machine for my home and use it at least twice per week with an a b belt on. The machine is not easy, but putting on the belt is a snap and i s helping me get in shape fast.

lorraine: The only way that can work for my schedule is to do my abs work out at home,,,i have tried the stability ball, didn’;t work. tried the ab roller, not so much. i just want a fast and easy routine that will work. too much to ask? maybe i will look into an ab belt.,

DanK: I say don’t bother with bulky abs work out equipment for your home routine. Leave that stuff at the gym and just come up with a varied training schedule that includes crunches, reverse crunches, planks, sit ups and squats. At least 3-5 minutes of eahc in any order wearing a toning belt with show you fast results if you keep it up at least 3times a week. ANy ideas on abs work out for men that really work for the male physique?

Jennie M: HAve been doing some research online and also reading reviews and I think a good abs work out for women that can be done at home involves doing Pilates only one to tw o times per/week and also using an abdominal belt. I usually watch tv while i wear mine, super awesome abs work out schedule.

Odile: Any abs workout schedule or abs work out plan that you can keep to is a good one! Have not tried an abs work out with ball. My at home one is a treadmill for a good half an hour, keep getting the incline steeper is the idea, and while I’m on it I wear an abs contour belt, can’t lose with this combo, fast and easy, double whammy attack! Not really a fan of abs work out video or videos.
