Is it okay to just exercise ab once a week to see results?
Elena: I might be a too little once a week but better than no abs at all. I do exercise ab wheel 3 times a week and i my tummy is pretty tight.
Gay: I don’t think at any exercise is going to work if you only do it once a week, I’ve go an exercise ab chair, the Malibu Pilates one, and I’m using it 3 and 4 times a week and it’s still not all that great, results wise, so I’m thinking maybe an ab belt might be better, reviews on that look way good, but you still have to use it maybe everyday when you get started….
GabeLA: NO, you need to exercise your abs at least 3 times a week to really see a difference. You can try using and exercise ab chair or exercise ab bench, or even get one of those electronic ab belts. All will help train your muscles and prime them for proper development.
Kurt: For best results, I think you gotta work your abs at least every other day. I found an old exercise ab wheel in my parents’ basement and have been using that thing about 4 or 5 days a week, just tosee if it will get me more toned. It’s really not one of the best exercise ab workouts I’ve done, I admit, but its a good change from crunches for now.
deena, muskegon: Lately I’ve been using an exercise ab ball about 3 times a week & am seeing moderate results. ONce a week is not enough for anything.
Fiona: I think you need to work out consistently. I have recently heard about an exercise ab chair that is effective but I dont know if I could use it all the time since I work a lot and travel. Something more compact mi ght be more right for me.
Kim: Why only once a week? IS that a serious question? Tons of exercise ab workouts out there. Look online, pick one and do it at least 3-4 times a week.
Mrs.Mary: I’m not really sure what an exercise ab bench is going to do for me that an ab contour belt isn’t going to be able to do a whole lot easier, I’m using one now, but I use it 5 times a week, I don’t think you’re going to get much in the way of results doings ab exercise only once a week.
luvtoknit: I think if you’re gonna only do it once a week, make sure you get the most out of what you do. Invest in a good exercise ab belt – it will be the best piece of exercise ab equipment you purchase, because it is so easy you will actually use it. Just make sure you get a good one, there are a lot of crappy ones online.
t.robertson: maybe if you doing a really intense workout once a week, like going to the gym and using the exercise ab machines or maybe the tv ab machines and then using something like an abs belt at home, that could work. if you change up the routine it won’t seem so boring to work out and I happe n to think its really beneficial to use some kinda exercise ab equipment for better toning.
Sadiekins: You might want to look into an exercise ab belt, you can use it everyday, it’s so easy you won’t feel stressed about doing it that often, forget the idea of results with once a week, not gonna happen.
MarkG: Yeah, if you only have time in your schedule to work out your abs once a week, looking into good exercise ab machines is good idea. The Flex Belt is a pretty good electronic abs belt, if you are looking at any of those.
Olivia: For my money the best piece of exercise ab equipment out there is my Flex Belt, check it out online, it’s fast, easy, you’ll see results in a couple of weeks, trust me on this one…but wear it more than once a week, will ‘ya?
Georgia: I thought it was true that only men use an exercise ab bench. Maybe that it is a wrong idea. but I do know you have to exercise more tha once a week. I try but it isnt easy. all those stick think celebs must work out 12 hours a day but they have nothing else to do. Just workout. I have to work and cook and take care of sick children. its not what I thought it would be and I’m fat.
Kaya: If you are just lazy about ur abs (like me!) forget about crunches and complicated routine, just get yourself a decent exercise ab belt and use it a few days a week. i wear mine while watching the evening news on tv, super easy.
Nan: The exercise ab machines are all of a sudden to hard for me, I’ve stopped going to they gym and am using an abs belt daily at home, I guess that’s what doing 60 does to you…once a week, though, I wouldn’t even feel like I was exercising, gotta kick it up a notch honey.
Devon: NO, no, no, you need to put in a little more effort than once a week to see results. Use exercise ab ball – like a bender ball to help do crunches the right way or a swiss ball to challenge you a little more. At least 3 times a week, like someone here already said.
Alicia: Me I think you can definitely get some results by doing abs only once a week, especially if you didn’t do any abs at all before. I practice with an exercise ab ball twice a week and it works for me.
Troy, MI: WHy would you just do ab exercises once a week, and really expect results? C’mon, ain’t nothing comes that easy. Try new things, like an exercise ab bench, you know, you don’t even have to use it for too long to feel the burn. A lttile every day goes a long way.
Jennifer: I have an exercise ab ball that I’ve been trying to use, unsuccessfully, for the last week, I hope I can either sell it or send it back, or maybe I can give it to the grandkids, anyway, I was determined to get my 55 year old self in shape, this is obviously not the way for me to go, but I don’t think there’s anything you can use once a week that’s gonna give yu the results you’re after, just eliminate the ball as a solution, believe me!
JimB: What about standing exercise ab workouts? Like squats, lunges, or walking with and abdominal toner on? I bet you could get away with doing this only once a week, and still see results, if you make it a vigorous workout.
Connolly: Exercise ab workouts that I do mostly are floor ones, crunches, all that, really working on my obliques with a lot of twists, not even expecting it to work in a couple of months, never mind one time a week…whatever gave you the idea there’s something that will do that for you?
Frank: I add weight to the exercise ab machines i use at the gym and I can old do that once a week. The rest of the time I just do sit ups at home. my abs look pretty good.
pete: maybe with some things, you’ll see faster results, but not if you use an exercise ab chair. gonna take at least 3 or4 solid workout sessions a week to get anything from that. i’m still working hard on mine, had it nearly 3 mos.
Cynthia: The exercise ab wheel that I have, the ab roller, works really good, and it’s also giving me some pretty good looking arms, trouble is, if you’re looking for something that you only have to do once a week, this prolly isn’t it, I’m doing it practicallly everyday and I’m still not looking as toned as I want to…2 months later.
Ellen: I agree mostly with the people here saying more is better, but whatever you do, don’t bother with the exercise ab wheel, too hard!!! Ab toning belts are easy, but more than once a week is a must.
Audrey: An exercise ab belt seems like something that you would use not everyday but when you have no other option, to ensure that you keep consistent with yout ab routine. I think as a component of a weight loss program it is a good idea, just dont expect it to do all the work for you.
charlotte: man, i am using an exercise ab wheel and it is not easy! I get on the floor with that thing every morning for about 10 minute and am gradually seeing results. IF there’s something I can do only once a week and get flatter abs, I’d be super happy.
Dinah: as far as exercise ab equipment goes I have aways liked the swiss ball. Otherwise I walk and take Nia class. Working, slowly, combined with cutting out most carbs.
Kelly: When I use exercise ab machines I love how strong my core feels. if there is something I could buy for use at home that would have the same results that would be terrific.
CaroleAnne: The exercise ab chair I ordered online was not very good quality, it fell apart pretty quick, I wonder if it’s because I weigh a lot, what will work for me that will not take an everyday workout, I’m with you on that one, this chair thing is sure out.
Bea: YES! The exercise ab ball is where its at. I always have fun, and remember to work out because I like it and I guess thats all it takes…FUN!
Sarah: I agree, an exercise ab belt if you only have time for classic ab workout once a week. You can just wear the belt whenever and wherever. Once a week is just not gonna happen in my opinion.
Sophia: When I work out with the wheel exercise ab workouts are so much more interesting. I agree making exercise amusing makes it possible to do every day which is key.
Katherine: When I exercise ab I feel good. And when I feel good I am more positive and I project that and people respond to that. Its a good thing.
