For years I have tried every conceivable sit up routine with little to no results mainly because of lack of time. My question is with a flex belt can a solid routine or schedule be set that you can really stick to in a week?
Marko: Using an ab belt can help make life easier, when it comes to abdominal work outs, i think. I have one and use it just about every day. I still use a sit up bench for doing regular old situps every morning and that helps me get results faster. IF you want to see changes in a week, gonna take more time & energy than what a flex belt will give you.
KleinF: Hmm, a solid sit up machine that you can stick to in a week. Not sure I inderstand the question. You want to see rsults in a week, or you want to only exercise for a week and that’s it? You can use a sit up ball (like a Bender Ball) or a sit up board which you can do reverse crunches on, but not sure just a week is going to give you real good results.
Franko: Not sure about the flex belt (never tried it) but I know that using a sit up bench works awesome for my abs.
CarrotHead: I’ve tried every diet, every exercise, last one was the sit up ball that almost knocked me cold when I fell off of it onto the floor, all to get rid of this belly I’ve got from just plain eating the wrong kinds of foods, so now I’m going to start with the ab belt I’ve been reading reviews about, I don’t think you have to have any kind of hard schedule/routine, just use it 30 minutes a day, have to use for about a month to get some good results, but honestly, what have I got to lose at this point? My belly, that’s what!
Absynthe: I have a sit up board that I love, I use it every other day, and I’ve added on an ab shocker for evening, the two of them together are great, but I don’t think you’re going to see the same kinds of results with just an ab belt you use for a week, not likely I don’t think. If that’s what you’re asking.
LorraineJaxton: So this may sound funny but some time ago I actually bought a sit up machine because I had no idea how to do a sit up ! I mean, not properly. And using that, did make a big difference in terms of results. Still, it takes work and time, etc. I think using an abs belt is better becaue you don’t need to make time for it, just gotta remember to put it on regularly. I started using one and usualy have it on while i make dinner. WOrks up a n appetite that way and sure beats doing old sit up exercises.
lynna: I have to say it: SITUPS SUCK! I barely ever got results even when I did 200 situps a day bcs they weren’t exercising the right muscles in the proper way!
Plus my back was killing me! i have decided to STAND UP for up for me and stop torturing myself w/ situps! i have heard that the ab belts are a really great altenative and the results are better!
Marty: Well there certainbly is a LOT of sit up equipment available if you want to do the old fashioned crunch routine. THe best little gizmo I’ve come across in a long time is a abdominal toning belt called the Flex Belt. Takes a day to get used to, not even a week to see some real results.
WendiSmith: There sure is a lot of sit up equipment out there, I tried a bunch of them, I kinda liked the bar you put in the doorway that you put your feet under? Better than having the kids hold them down for me ”cause then we’d all just start laughing, anyway, any kind of sit up routine you do has to be for a few months to get results, even if you use an ab belt like on tv, I think it’s going to take a while, schedule or not.
Damon x: IF u looking for an easy way out for a good alternative to a sit up workout a a b belt might help some but for fast results, like in a week, some more effort is required.
AlanBro: You question makes no sense dude!!? One week what?
Caroline: SO the sit up challenge is to keep doing them, right? That’s why I’m thinking an ab toner belt might be just what I need, no stress, no mess, no worry, just use it 30 minutes a day and done.
bigoleman09: WEll if you don’t want a long term sit up routine, try mixing up your workout schedule by giving yourself some fun cardio and a week long sit up challenge. Also heard that those EMS belts could help show you fast results too.
Francis: A sit up bar is a great way to make any sit up work out easy and is a good ab workouts for men, but it still takes a long time to see results, but faster than a month, in a week? No way, not even an ab shocker’s gonna do that for you.
Ike: Did you ever use a sit up bar ? You said you tried everything, am surprised you didn’t see results with that, if you did try it. Of course, I make sure to stick to a routine. IS uppose with a toning belt, you can get more toned and its pretty easy to follow that program. I don’t feel like I’m doing anything unless I do a bunch of sit up challenge myself.
Jemima: Sit up exercises are a pain, I guess we can all agree on that, plus, they hurt your back if you don’t do them just right, they need to be only a crunch, not all the way up, that’s the trouble most people run into, I hurt my back something fierce and am thinking an ab belt would be a more comfy, easy way to go, gonna try it and see, what the heck, if it doesn’t work there’s a good guarantee on it.
Adam: Any sit up routine will work if you stick to you. Nothing’s gonna give miraculous results overnight. If you need some sit up equipment to get motivated, however, I do think a flex belt is a good place to start. Might wanna do cardio to tho.
Clarisse: How to do a sit up? I don’t think you should…it’s that full reach that gets you, stick with some Pilates, find your center, work from there. Never mind the fast results though, don’t think any kind of short cut like an ab belt is going to make a flat stomach happen over night.
leo: LOL The question is a little unclear but i think this guy is saying he wants a situp workout that is going to give results in just 1 week. I do think that seems kind of unrealistic. Even with an abs contour belt which i think is awesome, you probably wont see any dramatic six pack stuff happening that soon. The abs contour belt i am using is super fast and easy but u have to at least work your way up to the maximum intensity before you can even expect a sixpack.
JEREMIAH: What you do is get yourself a sit up board to use a few mornings a week, then use some sort of sit up ball , like a Pilates ball, a couple days a week and also a ab belt 5 daysa week. Will see fast results if you stick to this plan. REc for men or women, to add the belt, makes the workouts feel pretty easy, and very effective too.
Chevron: Anyone here used a sit up bar before? Heard they are not easy to use, but will give you good results.
Lilly: Well I’ve seen pretty good results using a sit up board to help me do the situps correctly. I notice a difference from diong them because I was notdong anything before. i just schedule the time every morning (15 minutes) and it works, once I got into the sit up routine its really not so difficult to stick to. I think its a very solid piece of sit up equipment.
Jerri: All it really takes is spending about 15-20 minutes, 4 days a week, to get someresults, I think, for basic abs exercises like crunches. IF you set aside the time, its not so tough to create a solid routine. If you want a real sit up challenge try getting an abs belt that you can adjust the intensity levels of. Ihave one and keep getting harder every week, very easy to use too.
ChloeP: For me, I know I’ve gotten best results from using a sit up machine, every time I go to the gym I use it. It DOES work, and you relly feel the burn. But its sometimes hard to get there, I know, so I say, get something you can use at home. Like a flex belt or other good toning belt, those really make a difference. You can use them even if you dont know how to do a sit up and still get awesome results, just in 30 minutes a day. Thats what I would get if I were you, good luck.
Darren: Actually think a good way to do sit up exercises is to do them on a sit up bench. Helps keep form, adn I dont know, its easier than getting on the floor. MOre effeciteve though. Anything you want to stick to, gets you results. THe motivation & dedication all comes from you.
Gillian: Sorry but, do you really get a good sit up workout using an ab toning belt? What about maybe doing the the plank ab workout?
Deva: Yes you can get a VERY effective sit up workout without doing sit ups, in my opinon, from using a ab belt. I’ve seen fast results, faster than doing regular situps, just from wearing this 5 days per week. Very use to stick to a routine with it, since I can use it any time.
