For general ab fitness after pregnancy what is recommended for fast results?
DebbieHannigan: Wouldn’t it be great if there were ab fitness products just for after pregnancy? I think an abs belt sounds pretty good based on the reviews I’ve read, but want to know which kind is the best.
Marianna: Forget the ab fitness ball right after you have a baby, it’s just too hard, and you’re not going to feel like pulling that particular part of your body into a crunch, believe me! Go for an abdominal belt or abs toner machine
instead, easy, results are fast, you won’t have that post pregnancy belly long, believe me!
Josephine: thanks for all the great comments and advice about ab fitness exercises for post pregnancy I am having my first and I need all the info I am getting a ellptical machine and a a b belt just as soon as I give birth! I will not be a fatty.
Lily: after my first baby 2 years ago I started an ab fitness program that is called buff girl fitness that is like aerobic pilates. It was way fun. I got my body back in about 6 months. Now I need to do that again. My new baby is 2 months so I am ready to work out and diet. I am also wondering about an ab belt because with 2 under 3 I have more limited time. I need to multitask and find a good ab fitness workout!
Melinda: Just getting back into working out myself after my baby and also looking for a good ab fitness program so I can get reaquainted with my abs too! Have you looked at an abdominal toner or an ab fitness ball? Maybe we can help each other.
Felicity: I had my baby, little Stan, just 3 weeks ago, and I can’t get into anything, it’s depressing as heck and mostly I just want to cry all the time anyway and this sure isn’t helping this big blubber middle, I swear if I knew what pregnancy was going to do to my body? Oh, well, I wouldn’t have Stanislaus, would I? Anyway, I read all about the Flex Belt on line, all the reviews point to that one and I think it’s exactly what I need, I’m housebound for right now, the only thing I was a little worried about is I’m still bl*eding if that isn’t to much inforamtation will that make it any worse? Sorry to be so graphic.
Kelly: One thing to remember post pregnancy it to start exercising very slowly. I would first start by doing some pelvic tilts to warm up and so for at least one month. I started using an ab fitness equipment at the gym only 3 months after i had my baby. So take your time is my answer fast results after a baby are just for movie stars.
mel#1: there’s a vareity of ab fitness equipment you could use of course, i mean just google it an you get a whole slew of possiblites. seems to me you get results fast er with something like that than just tryng to do crunches. i had my son about 2 years and just last month purchased a flex belt. had tried everyhting and still had nasty rolls. so here i am, years after pregnancy, and finally getting my abs in shape, i’m very happy with this.
Apalonia: Ab fitness equipment, sure is a huge range of it, from balls to pulleys to dvd’s to full size gym machines you cna have at home, but I still think the thing that works best after having a baby is the ab belt, it’s gentle and easy and honeslty, I can still nurse my baby while I’m using it, good way to get that figure back I miss so much.
Jamie: I need an ab fitness program, like asap, my baby’s only 5 weeks old but I have to go to a really important conference in a month, in Paris, no less, so want to look my best, I’ve heard the ab toning belts show some really good results, I’m going to get one and hope that along with some crunches I’ll be looking fit and healthy and that this routine will get me back into my size 6 suits by then, do you think that’s possible?
Amy R.: Well I for one, am looking into ab fitness machines or free ab workouts video that I can use at home, while the baby is napping. I mean really, how many minutes in a day does it take to do a good ab workout, like 10 or 15? Women do need some guidance after being pregnant, thats for sure, and I don’t want to spend a lot but maybe an ab board, or that circle thing? are the abs belts cheaper?
Ada: So many ab fitness products on line, I have even seen an ab fitness chair, but I’m leaning towards the abs belt, it keeps popping up in my mind as the one to use after I have this baby in 6 weeks, I know I’m not going to be wanting to do anyting too strenuous for awhile, this could be just the solution I’m looking for…haven’t gained a whole lot of weight so far, this should be enough to carry me until I can get back to the gym.
Anonymous: what is your ab fitness plan for after you have the baby? I am going to go on hikes with the baby in a backpack and hopefully I will get a good ab belt to tighten up everything that is loose. ugh.
Meg: Well I’m no ab fitness pro but know that it is really hard to get back into shape after pregnancy. have to admit that I ordered and abdominal toner and saw some surprisingly fast results just by wearing it while doing chores around the house. Its a pretty good ab fitness workout, much better I think than those ab vibrator belt things.
Samantha: Ya know, the celebrities make it seem so EASY to get rid of the baby weight, seems like a week after they have had the baby, they’re all slim again. And yet, after my first baby, I tried every ab fitness equipment in the book to get rid of my ‘baby bump’ and did any of it work? NO. Right now I am pregnant with #2 (yay) and i really need to find another plan this time. I have heard that ab belts are really terrific for busy moms with very little time in their schedules, and the reviews have convinced me. Trying to decide between a few of the better ones, I plan to make a purchase before my due date!
Lenore: My daughter is very unhappy with her post pregnancy look, so I’m ordering her one of those ab toning belts I saw on t.v. I hope I got her the right one, I think she should be joyful with her new twins, but all she does is say how awful she looks, hopefully this will give her some fast results, and I won’t have to hire some ab fitness pro to get her back in shape…this is a much better price!
AmandaMom3: I would say a fitness ball over an ab fitness machines. They usually add weights on those machines and our abs are too fragile after pregnancy especially if u have an ab separation or worst diastasis. I also heard good things about abdominal toning belt but have never tried one nor have i tried an ab fitness chair.
Sedra: I want to have an ab fitness plan in place for after I have my baby so I don’t lose anytime looking fat and sloppy after my first baby it took forEVER to get back in shape, learned my lesson to attack the post pregnancy belly FAST, so that’s why I’ve already got an abdominal belt under my bed for about two weeks after I have this new kiddo, my schedule will be a ruin for awhile, but so what, I can use this any time and get some fast results, at least that’s what it said online…
RachelW: Good after pregnancy ab fitness plan for me is using this Ab rocket that I bought online. Don’t know anything about ab energizer but will look into it now that i’ve seen these comments. Need all the help i can get too.
Keely: wow you all are so knowledgeable about these ab belt things, i have a question is it still neccessary to do additional ab fitness exercises, while using the toning belt? or does that sorta do it all? can it realy be that easy?
Cameron: I had a baby abby two years ago tomorrow and I still am 20 pounds heavier than I was before I was pregnant I know I need to lay of the cake etc but I think ab belts are cool and wont be to hard to try. ab fitness equipment is all so big and such a hassle these belts can travel and I can use them at work.
Tiff: REally Marianna, you don;t like using an ab fitness ball ? Shoot, I was thisclose to ordering one. NOw I guess I need to start reseraching again, gonna read reviews on these toning belts it does some like an easy sorta routine. And fast too? Think I need to take a look, you women are all awesome.
Georgina: I could barely do any ab fitness exercises right after my first baby, you’re nuts if you think you’ll be able to start right up again, I think just plain old walking is the best way to go, put that baby in a back pack, strap an ab energizer around your waist, that’s all you need for a while.
Marlene: Ab fitness machines certainly have their place, but post pregnancy, maybe not, take it easy on yourself for awhile, pregnancy takes about two years to recover from, to get all your organs back in place, I know,I’ve got 4 kids and it took forever to look like myself again, but it CAN be done, don’t lose heart, just for now get an abs contour belts, use it for 30 minutes a day, it’ll help you get back on track fast without too much muscle stress.
Izziesmom: Trying to maintain ab fitness after pregnancy is like trying to stuff a turkey into a hummingbird outfit. All i have to offer is that a ab fitness ball is a good invesment if you don’t already have one. Good back support and easy to use. Also found that a regular routine of cardio is key. My freind is using a toning belt after her 3rd child but not sure how well that is working for her.
BethLuvsHerBaby: Well actually I think its smart to have some sorta ab fitness plan in place before the babyis even born. I had a hard time getting into any sort of routine that didn’t involve eating and sleeping those first few months. ANd I exercised while pregnant, still didn’t make much difference. For the last few months I’ve been getting outdoors more, which helps, and I even tried some kind of cream to get rid of the fat, that iddn’t do much. Exercising the musles, is key I do believe, so I think an ab shocker plus doing cardio is a smart routine.
natalie, montana: Is ANYONE on here an ab fitness pro ?? I really think that, sure these ab belts & rockets & balls & whatever else are great in theory but I had twins & gained almost 70 lbs! I have lost only about 30lbs so far and look disgusting. I think all I can do is hire someone to get me back in shape after that pregnancy took sucha toll. ANd I know in my case, nothing is gonna be fast, thats the sad truth. BUt i am willing to work for it.
Eva: dancing has always worked for me. it is the greatest workout while I am pregnant and for getting back in my skinny jeans after I give birth. I am hoping to get an ab belt or the the ab roller wheel for my birthdya to move things along even more!
Darla: An ab fitness program for me after my first baby was getting out of bed! I’m serious, I was so tired for such a long time…it took me about six weeks before I could focus again, and maybe if I’d been exercising, not just my abs, but all over, I would have felt better quicker, that’s why this time around I’m having a trainer come over 2 weeks post, and start out with some gentle things, and then I’m going to wear an ab belt in the evenings to go along with my new way of looking at after pregnancy workouts, I think this will be way better than just being a slug for a couple of months.
Alhambra: Are there any ab fitness products that will get rid of stretch marks? Maybe Strivectin, that’s what it was invented for wasn’t it? Anyway, my stomach is just a mess, now I’m thinking about a toning belt, maybe the combination of a nice cream and some general tightening will make me feel more normal again, or even a hardcore ab fitness workout – something fast would be good…
CarlaT: Most ab fitness exercises are not designed for pregnant women or for after pregnancy. The abdominal toning belt is the only thing I have found that seems to be geared for women like us. Plus, this is about all that baby shcedules will permit, especially the first 8 months.
Keelie: An ab fitness pro is what I need, I can’ta seem to do anyting by myself, my muscles have got up and went. I wonder if there’s people that specialize in post pregnancy care, you know, to get us back in shape but not hurt us? I’m not looking for a six pack, just want to get rid of the bulge where Nathan was, maybe one of those abdominal belts?
ErinB: There are a few ab fitness machines i liked when i first got back into the gym aftert my son was born, but plain old crunches really gave me the best results. Have heard about those ab belts too, but have not tried one.
Emily: So aside from this ab toning belt typeof thing you all are talking about, which sounds amazing by the way, are there any other types of ab fitness products that can be worked into regular routine? A medicine ball or something like that? I think I still need variety from day to day, same as wth my cardio, one day its biking, hte next a jog, the next kickboxing, and so on.
TessP: Big, expensive ab fitness equipment is a waste of time and space, for new moms especially. My abs started to change just from investing in this one little ab energizer and it is about the only thing I can use on a day to day basis while at home with the munchkin. BTW what is an ab fitness chair?
Annie: An ab fitness plan is what I need right now, not after I have my baby, I want to have a good muscle tone to give birth, I bet it will make it easier, then afater I’ll be stronger right away and maybe all I’ll need will be one of those toning belts for awhile, you know the kinds they show on t.v. all the time?
Nan: HAd my baby almost 4 months ago and am in depserate need for a good ab fitness program. So glad to ssee so many women discussign what they’ve done since pregnancy to get back in shape! I think an ab belt is the most ideal solutions for me after reading all this, thank you all. I will read reviews & find a good ab fitness workout.
