Can anyone please recommend a really good ab exercise, that is not too hard will work and is easy?

Gitte: DO you have a membership at the gym? The ab exercise machine tend are pretty easy to use and if you use it regularly at least 4 times/week, u can get some pretty awesome abs.

Miles: I would say not to waste your time with ab exercise machines that you would get for the home. Gym ones are best, but if you can’t fit the gym into your schedule and want a good home routine, I found that using an toning belt along with crunches will provide pretty good results.

Carlene: Lately I’ve been using different things at the gym, and its seemslike if I use any type of ab exercise equipment, it makes ab workoutsa lot easier, and more motivating. Likeif I just lookat hte floor, I have nodesire to get down and do sit-ups. But if I;m doing my strength training routine and see the ab machines, I;m more likely to spend a few minutes using them. Its not easy but its better form and like i said at least i;m doing somehting now. And they work, I suggest just going to the gym and trying new things.

Kissy: I’ve tried all kinds of ab exercise machines, none of them are all that easy and I’ve been known to give up on the ones that give me sore muscles…I mean, how hard do I have to keep working out at 52? But I do hate what’s happening to my middle, I feel like one of those Mr. Potato Head toys, remember those? where my body’s big and my arms and legs look like sticks, so I’m going to try one of those abdominal toner belts, see what happens and maybe I’ll start to match up again, the reviews I’m seeing look that it maybe just a possibility this will happen, easy and fast results, I’m keeping my skinny fingers crossed!

sara: well, there is a whole lot of ab exercise equipment on the market, it is tough to know what to choose. But i think for seniors,or even any men or women who aren’t in great shape, a lot of these can be really hard, and might be confusing to use. Personally i have found the right thing for myself with an ab belt. There is 0% chance of user error bcs all you do is strap it on and it does the work! and i am seeing results arlready.

ROBERT: SO it looks as if others are in agreement, best way to exercise your abs is wiht a high quality ab exercise machine. The ones at the gym are great and if you want somehting for at home that’s pretty easy you could get an ab energizer, I’ve read good reviews on a few of those.

Claudia: I really good ab exercise for me, has always been to walk. because it is good for your whole body inside and out ( I find its a real stress buster). I am now ina slightly different position, having had a baby 4 mos ago and I need to do more to tighten my abs and regain my shape. That is why for the first time I am looking for exercise equipment. I know this is a good forum looking forward to the help and getting backinto my skinny jeans! Can anyone recommend the best Abs In the world am looking for a photo here. :)

mel: In my opinion you don’t need any fancy ab exercise equipment to work on your ab. Crunches sit ups and cardio are good enough. Works for women, men seniors or younger.

MarvelousMargot: I can’t tell you the money I wasted ont hel ast ab exercise machine I bought, it was like almost $2000!!!! And here I am, stilly a bulgy stomach, now my kids use the thing the the garage, it was just too hare for me, that’s why I’m looking at an ab shocker I saw on t.v., looks like I only have to sit there and the abs belt will do the rest, I can deal with some twinges as long as I don’t get hurts, seems like a routine I could get into easy after I get home from work.

bruce: A lot of the ab exercise machines on the market are overrated, if you ask me. Really got to do your research if you wnat to get something like that. Always could just hire a trainer for a few session to ge t some exercises down, make sure you have proper form and all that. “course, youd’ have to work hard for that. I don’t know too much about these abs belts folks are talking about, sounds a littl e too good to be true but I guess Im just a firm believer that it taks a lot of sweat and hard work to get results.

Debbie: ab exercise equipment has always failed me in the past either I bought something crappy or I got lazy which is why lately I have been going to the gym but in winter I prefer to workout at home which is why I am trying AGAIN to find something that works. that will get me trim and lean and with strong action abs.

VICKY Sue: No kidding Debbie! I feel the same way about just about everything I’ve bouhgt, actually for any type of exercise equipment not just abs, I have a horrible collection of aerobics videos that I never touch, plus some ridiculous thigh toner and an old nordic track thing. As far as ab exercise equipment goes though, I’m actualy thinking an a b belt of some sort could be a good investment, I really think I would use that and I have read a lot of really good reviews on some online. I’m just trying to find the best brand.

Olivia: I like ab exercise machines…at the gym. I just need to find the right one that I can use at home. Something I can wear while I make dinner and do the bills would be terrific…I need to multitask!

Colleen: I had an ab exercise machine called the ab Roller and was hoping it would work as easy as it looked on tv, but it didn’t. Kind of hard on the back, but I think doing crunches on a bender ball or some other raised, soft platform is really good. If you want to get really adventurous, you can even work your way up to wearing one of those ab belts while you do it. Really adds to the burn and seems to give me better results.

Indira: I’m a v egetarian and yo’d think that would mean I was naturally skinny but it’s not reallly true, too mcuh bread and cheese, and whoever thought lentils were low calorie is fooling themselfs so veg diets are healthy, but I’m still fat esp in the middle that’s why I’m trying all the ab exercise machines at the gym I go to but so far there’s nothing close to a miracel happening what about that flex belt thing I keep reading about on line, it seem slike it would be easy, what I’ guess we’re all looking for, and will get me some results, maybe I should try one for a week and see, my girlfrien’s got one.

Ed: Something easy for abs? I don’t think so. I know a bunch of exercises that don’t require 4 u to use any ab exercise equipment but it’s not that easy. You just have to get in the routine of doing crunches and sit up by series of 20-25 with 60 secs pause in between.

MichelleM: I’m hearing a lot of talk about crunches, but have to say that I think a good piece of ab exercise equipment to have is ab contour belt. Maybe the only thing you need and just finding a good routine that works with it helps too. I use a video program called Crunchless Abs which is all pilates based moves. My torso is looking better then it did when I was in my twenties. Not trying to brag, but it really is amazing.

Andie: I’m with you, Ed, I don’t think there’s anything really easy for abs, have to go for that burn, you know? The only ab exercise machine, I guess you could call it that, that I’ve found that really seems to give results where you don’t have to work very hard, is the abdominal toner belt; the biggest stress and strain is putting it on, I like that in an exercise! :)

madmax89: still you need to be careful when you use any type of ab exercise machine. if you don’t do it right, you could be wasting your time potentially. i’m quite happy with my abdominal toning belt i got online. swear i started to see results in the first week, and really, no plan required other than wearing the thing for 30 minutes a day, and plus doing cardio as usual, of course.

Calliope: Have to say that I think the ab exercise equipment, all of it, really, just gets so boring! I always start out with gret intent, and I last maybe a couple of weeks and then I quit and start looking for something else, that’s how I ran across the abdominal belt I’m using now, and it’s the first thing I’ve been able to stik with, mostly because I don’t have to think about it, or work up a sweat of count reps or any of that, I just put it on and let it do the work, my plan is to be a size 4 again, this and a lot of leg lifts are going to get me there.

Mari: an ab exercise that is not to hard is to do sit ups! free and easy!

DHicks: Ab exercise machines are for weenies. I agree that sit ups or crunches on a regular basis is the best way to tone your center. Nothing fast and easy is real, IMO. Just be careful with your back and if you want to add some support and strength, the ab belt is good too, as folks have alreay mentioned here. Good Luck!

Yolanda: OH no Mari, Sit-ups is no good for seniors with bad backs. I’d rather pay the money for a real good workout, even with my tight budget. Seems worth teh splurger for one of them abs belts.
