Any recommendations for Seniors searching for abdominal fitness?
MrBillingsAZ: Cam on here to say that I think a pretty good easy to use ab abdominal fitness machine for folks over 65 is the abs contour belt. My son got me one for my 66th birthday and I’m using it everyday. Has also improved my back posture and golf swing.
kimberly jo: well i think it might be a good idea to find a good piece of abdominal fitness equipment either for at home or atthe gym, and make sure you use it properly. Using this could be better than doing situps on the floor. Could go for something that is relatively low impact, like an abs belt, I’ve read those are good for seniors.
Anna: I can recommend doing a lot of walking and a balanced diet but as far as abdominal fitness equipment or workout, I don’t do anything. But am starting to seek out good abs food I would love to have a six pack even at my age.
Fredericka: Ab abdominal fitness machine that I tried at my daughter’s gym like to killed me no way I can do those kinds of things anymore, 62, you’d think I could still handle that equipment, but nope, out of therunning, now I’m using a Flex Belt she found for me online, much better for where I am now, think I’m looking pretty ok for an old lady!
MARTA: AS long as you create a routine for doing abdominal fitness exercises and stick to it on a regular basis, you will see results. I think this is true for seniors, and really all men & women. Consistency is key.
HStJohn: Abdominal fitness belt? Never heard of it but if it is as easy as you say, I will look at some more reveiws. I would also reccommend daily walks. Such an easy thing to do for seniors if you don’t have any pulmonary issues.
JoAnne: There is just so much abdominal fitness equipment out there, but almost none of it seems appropriate for seniors. I mean, just think about it! Ab exercises and machines ask us to twist our backs and our bones around in ways that just are not natural or healthy for our age! yet we do want to stay in shape too, its hardly fair to assume we should just get soft in our older age. I want something that’s easy on my body and that will work to give me good results. i might have to try one of those ab belts an earlier blogger mentioned.
thanks for that idea.
Gaby: The abdominal fitnss belt I have? Wouldn’t be without it, I use it when I go walking with my lady friends at the mall, I think a lot of them are going to order one too, they can’t believe I can still get into the clothes I bought 10 years ago when I married my last husband, Art, God rest his soul, would be proud of me. Who knows, maybe there’s a #3 out there..
Elisabeth: I really enjoy yoga and we work on every part of the body including abdominal fitness exercises. I feel in love yoga 3 years ago, I was then 58.
Edna: Well I know some gyms gives discounts on prices for seniors, and that might be worth looking into so you can use the machines there. ANd then it might be wise to get an abdominal fitness test with a personal trainer, to see what you need to do.THat should help you get started, it sure is intimidating at first, but the folks at my club are very helpful and I’ve seen gains ins trength since using the routine Scott set up for me.
martha: one thing i was curious about was, are there any abdominal fitness exercises that can be done underwater? i belong to my local ‘Y’ and swimming is very easy on my joints and back. maybe if i could do abdominal toning there that would work? so i guess in answer to the question, i have not yet found something that will work for me. i mgiht have to look into the ab belts.
Muriel: My daughter made me go to the Dr. and get an abdominal fitness test as well as a million other tests. I guess too many years of Entimmens has left me a little chubby. I do like the sounds of that ab shocker belt – looks easy and I am putting one on my Christmas list.
Marsha: What is a abdominal fitness test Edna and whats the hardest ab workout?
I don’t mind if its a crazy ab workout at home even.
Ruth Ann, boise: Am now reading reviews on the abdominal fitness belt, I think that sound like the best thing for seniors. I can wear it while I walk, that is a great advantage, thanks Gaby. I am in pretty good shape for my age (67) but have a bit of a pooch that I’d like to get rid of.
Angela: I think an abdominal fitness test is a very good idea too, you can have it done at any gym you choose, and then you can see what will work best for you; they certainly take your age into account, I think it’s a very good place to start.
thomas: oh i have just about had it with that ab abdominal fitness machine i try using at the gym, can’tseem to add enough weight to make it effective, but too much causes strain on my back & neck. I wanted to see other recomendations,a nd am likign what I see about an ab toning belt. THanks allfor the tips.
Abbie: Abdominal fitness exercises I really enjoy and think are good for anybody, any age, are the ones I do at my Pilates class, they work my whole body, but my core is essential to all of them, I look forward to my 3 times a week that I go, and that’s something I’m proud of at 68.
Glory: I think using a swiss ball can be helpful for abdominal fitness exercises for seniors. Keeps you off the floor while you work. The only other piece of abdominal fitness equipment I could reccommend as others have said here, is an an toning belt that has good vibro belt customer reviews.
Vivian: The only abdominal fitness equipment I’m using these days is an abs belt, or more specifically, abdominal fitness belt. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks and I think it’s giving me some all around toning I haven’t had before, plus,it’s so easy, and at my age that’s important, almost as important as fast results, I can’t wait around forever for this thing to work you know.
linda: i would love to have an abdominal fitness belt if that could get me fit without having to work too hard! I have worked so hard my whole life and now i want to take it easy! But i’m living here in florida so i want to look nice in a swim suit too! IMO ab abdominal fitness machine rock!
