The Flex Belt® vs. AB Rocket
The Ab Rocket is marketed by its namesake company out of Wallingford, CT and has been on the fitness scene for several years. The company states that their device will revolutionize the path to rock hard abs, and deliver results in just 5 minutes a day. According to the company, getting the abs you want and desire requires doing sit-ups, crunches, and other core exercises, all of which can be painful and extremely time consuming. Manufacturers say that using their machine will eliminate the need for lengthy exercise programs, and give results quickly and safely.
The device appears much like a low slung beach chair with padded rollers for back and neck support.
The user exercises core muscles by pushing against the spring loaded back of the chair and reclining. Once reclined, the user works against the resistance to return to a sitting position. The repetition of this recline and return works the core area. Offered with purchase is a low calorie meal plan, 2 DVD's and a dance program, accompanied by a thirty day return policy.
